Cig Zone - Hookah gone bad?

I got a bit impatient & decided against better judgment & advice to acquire a hookah (argyle, water pipe) from Cig Zone in Culver City. Great deal, except the "made in China" sticker, but what's not these days. Took it home, used it for a couple of hours, & cleaned it using luke warm water.
The next day while putting it back together I noticed a hairline crack in the main glass base. Upon prompt repackaging & a quick drive to the store I find myself being told that these glass hookahs break very easily & that I must have just been careless with it. After insisting that it had not been treated in any way that could have caused the crack & that it must have been a manufacturing defect they still denied even an exchange. They instead offered to sell me another @ wholesale... So instead of practicing good customer service & eating the cost of a busted Hookah if only to ensure a long relationship & repeat business, this place instead chooses to rip off people who will never, EVER shop there again... no wonder the store was empty when I bought the damned thing!
After a google for "Cig Zone" I found this link Cig Zone ( Hemet, CA ) Tax Seizure Notice , unsettling indeed... There was also a bunch of reviews on directory sites of other Cig Zone shops in the Los Angeles area, most with only one review that was written more like an advertisement & identical on all directories... Thought I had found a great neighborhood tobacco shop but instead got completely fucked! Bottom line, stay away from the Cig Zone franchise & instead try Westwood Tobacco in West LA for your Hookah needs or The Tinder Box in Santa Monica if you smoke cigars or pipe..
