Am I the only one annoyed by paintball markers that are made to look like real firearms but have that CO2/air tank oddly placed behind & below it...? Don't even get me started on the remote coil setups! Or those massive paintball canisters (hoppers) on top... Here's what I did to rectify these problems and turn the Tippmann A-5 into a paintball marker that has the basic shape of a real assault rifle as you take it out on the field. Aside from the custom Co2 tank reworking from the stock position, it has an upgraded Lapco 12" Big Shot Barrel, A2 hand grip by Tippmann, Ops Gear G36 Stock & an Adco Red Dot Sight installed. The obvious limitation here is capacity, without the standard paintball canister (hopper), it is limited to about 30 paintballs per reload. I've had the opportunity to test it out and come to the conclusion that any Co2 tank bigger than 9oz will make the front end weight unmanageable while playing. Perfect for woodsball but much too cumbersome for tournament field play.

For comparison, here's what a stock A-5 looks like with a high pressure tank & uprgaded barrel. Basically what most A-5 markers end up looking like.
