HD-DVD Anyone?

So Passwird had this AMAZING deal posted this morning via Best Buy, the Xbox HD-DVD drive for a measly $50.00!

Just as I had the "Submit Order" button in my sights, a funny thought came over me, I made a quick stop at Digg.com and searched for "HD-DVD".

"Toshiba to discontinue supporting the HD-DVD format" "HD-DVD is DEAD" "HD-DVD, RIP" were some of the entries posted.... This sucks! Not only did those bastards at Sony win the battle, but all those stuck up PS3 owners now actually have something that's not 100% crap. At least they can't take away the fact that [the ps3] is still only an expensive blu ray player.
On that note, I really don't like the name "Blu Ray", why did Sony decide to loose the E? Did they think its consumer base were either too stoned or dumb to comprehend a real word such as BLUE? HD-DVD just sounds better, no matter what accent u sport.

I hereby denounce the Bluuuuu Ray format and declare Lg3.com a Blu free site. Keep your DVD's and hold out for the next generation of HD when 1600P comes out around 2010
