Guys, I have a confession to make.
After hearing reports of people lining up outside stores for the Sept 25 midnight release of Halo 3 in the news all day, yours truly, the great Chronic Cramps could'nt take it any longer. Sitting at home, writing "poop-pickup" invoices on this historical night, while masses of geeks, nerds, & all my other fellow social degenerates feast on the mental amphetamine that Halo 3 represents, was simply not going to happen. Without any regard to speed limits, stop signs, & the occasional red light... I somehow found myself parked outside Gameplay on Venice Boulevard at about 9:30pm. To my delight, they had a projector blasting Halo 3 on the wall outside gameplay (click to view video, 1737k file), a variety of 360esque consoles on hand, & friendly Gameplay staff slangin' copies of Halo 3 as if they were newspaper vendors on the streets of 1930's New York.
Well, one thing led to another, dazed & confused, I walked back to my Scion xB(ox) with a fresh copy of Halo 3... Game Play is by far superior to any big box electronics chain in terms of service, atmosphere, selection, and overall customer satisfaction. Whatever you want, they got it! And if they don't they'll get on the phone to find it for you quicker than a "Best Buy" employee clocks out for lunch! Their address is:
