Farewell, my love!

I write to you with great sadness in my heart. Our beloved companion "ghost" passed away this Saturday, September 9, 2007. He was 5 years, 2 months old. Too young to die - We will miss his quiet hum, the random ticks, & all the joy he brought us. He was a self-less force of energy, never thinking of himself, rather a pure channel of sharing.
I was there with him when he took his last few ticks, stuttered, and went quietly into the cold of darkness. He did not suffer, but was strong right up to the end and died doing what he loved, rendering sprites of "Lockout" with the utmost precision and managing connectivity via the Live network with the passion and dedication I doubt any other Xbox could ever rival.

Our beloved "ghost" will be re-packaged and laid to rest in a few days. Thank you all for your love and support during these dark days.

ArabRabbi says: Did somebody get a 360???

And, by virtue, forgot to wait on the release of the more reliable new chipset?

chronic says: how dare you suggest such a thing, the circuits in my xbox have barely turned cold and you're talking about a replacement?

On a lighter note, I did sign up for mycokerewards.com today... 3 points for a 2 liter bottle??? what has the world come to?

But in all honesty, I think a 360 may be in my hands by the end of the month considering the release of lo 3. Perhaps going barebones with a used system until the new chipset consoles are released is the way to go...?
