The Gamers Guide to Kabbalah 1.1

One aspect of practicing or "living" Kabbalah involves sharing without an agenda, a thought behind the action of sharing to get something back in return. That is why I've decided to to share this information in a way that will be, for some, easier to grasp than getting it the traditional way.

The mind of a video gamer runs in many ways parallel to the teachings of Kabbalah, let me share a couple examples.
Challenge & effort; Virtually all video games challenge you in some way to achieve victory, and without effort, say if you were to use "stand by" in Halo 2 to gain the advantage, you would not get a feeling of acomplishment as you time and again massacre your opponents. Kabbalah teaches us that the same obvious reality of challenges applies in real life. If you were given, with no effort, an unlimited amount of money every day, how long would it keep you happy and fulfilled for? A month, year, or 10? And then what? Would you ever have the feeling of accomplishment because of it? Overcoming the challenges we face in our lives is our purpose of life. Even more important is how we go about doing so.

Most of the information I will cover here comes from "The Power of Kabbalah" by Yehuda Berg. It is available on amazon.com and is a recommended read for anyone who is curious about Kabbalah or simply wants to get more out of life.

We play video games because it is a shortcut to what we want out of life. More on that later...
