Many, MANY things to discuss. I'll see what I can toss out:
Roger, your apostacy to the church of T-Mobile will not be tolerated. Abdul and I will form a "coalition of the better (and willing!)" that will invade your house and room, destroy all of your furniture and food supplies. Yet, because we are benevolent, we will have guards protecting all computer equimpent and TVs, as well as your RF-lovin' X-Box. We will bring you better reception whether you like it or not!
Karl, your photojournal is nothing short of amazing. Your entry regarding your father makes me think that you're wasting your time picking up dog poop. Become a world traveler and make coffee table books! You'll make a fortune! Your narration style is damn great- almost as good as mine ;). When I return, we'll have to collaborate on some kind of text-based project that will take our talents and meld them into one Euro-pulling operation. T'will be great.
Abdul-o-rama... My condolonces to your king. Interesting thing that was covered here is that not more than two hours after the new one's appointment, he changes the ambassador to the US. Keep in mind his predecessor was there for nearly 40 years! Regardless, I hope to see you back when I return, so we can induldge in all of the synthetic things that make American fast food great.
As for things here, all is well. We've actually made our way outside of Aleppo (!) into other cities, as well as going to Lebanon for about 5 days. Let me tell you- as soon as we all have a crapload of yuan, we're heading there. All of us. The place is amazing. It's like somebody took a slice of Los Angeles or some modern metropolis, carved it out of it's place, and dropped it in the Middle East. The place is just the right mix of east and west. And, under the alternate name of Hardee's, they have Carl Jr's here! You get two burgers, drinks, and fries for 5 bucks! And that's after taxes!
I've got a little over one more week here in the good S.A.R, and I'll be comin' back -technically- on the 16th at 11:30PM. I'll give you guys a call the minute I wake up. Huzzah!

Glad u have found the carl's jr. substitute out here. we've got em here too but I have been eating sooooo much that the idea of it sickens me. I have unfortunately been watching a little of the news and with the inauguration of the new king I have seen an interesting culture based allegiance to the new king. It seems that many come to shake and approve of the new king for a whole day and thats it! The new king.
Anyway hope u are enculterating yourself and also enjoying your time. I miss u and I miss karla and I miss my massage partner rojjee.
By the way if u see this rog email me back and let me know if u want to stay over my place in new jersey??? (like i said the massages in new york are relatively inexpensive. But i have not had a new york massage yet so maybe its another china town scam. Rememebr your back?
